Cute as a button

What the button wore when…sauntering in Shoreditch on Sunday

The sun shone down on London town.

It was the perfect day for a sauntering, meandering evening stroll along side streets of adventure.

Sunday evenings are overlooked as being playtime because of school the next day. But this is only the half truth. Whilst reality might be looming and just one sleep away, Sunday evening presents London for the Londoners.

Reservations are advised but attainable. Streets are passable. Tubes are free of litter and the transport eaters (unsavory characters that snaffle fast food from the corner of the carriage and are statistically more likely to become platform vomiters upon disembarking) have stayed away to nurse their sore heads.

So what does one wear to hobnob at HIX with the hipsters?

The key to this look was combining casual Sunday staples with a quirky edge. A classic ice white t shirt with distressed diesel denim set the tone perfectly. A favourite Vivenne Westwood military jacket came out of its winter hibernation, along with a now weathered with age black Mulberry Alexa. The fedora gave a subtle nod to Bowie brilliance. The shoes- let’s talk about the shoes! These are vintage Irregular Choice secret sailor shoes- ideal for traversing across the high seas and Hoxton!
