Cute as a button

what the button wore- get to the point…

Today Ms Button opted for a part human, part cartoon caricature look.

Upon opening the wardrobe, the pencil scarf fell out. It would have looked fabulous paired with the Mary Katrantzou pencil skirt from AW12, but alas I did not invest and that moment has long gone.

Instead, I teamed it with a bright playful love heart jumper and a skater skirt. The combination of black, white and pink gives a striking bold finish. The skater skirt is a particular button favourite- being black with a white banding it works for so many different styles and themes -such as monochrome, 1950s and pseudo Parisian!

The bold theme was carried on into the make up -a clashing contrast deep matte MAC turquoise eyeshadow made the eyes unexpectedly pop.

The pencil scarf that started it all and the pink happy heart jumper are by Divided by H&M. The skull necklace is Marc by Marc Jacobs-he hides a handy watch in the base too. The skirt was a River Island find. All items are past season.

What do you think? Should we button it?
